Say it by the water, or under the beams

Minstrel Court is licensed for civil ceremonies — so you can legally marry right here: in the Lake Pavilion with the water at your backs, on the Lakeside or Marquee lawns under open sky, in the Starlit Hall, or inside the Tudor Barn if the weather has other ideas. Your caterer or ours — from formal dining to food trucks on the lawn, the day is built around how you two actually want to celebrate.

Questions couples ask us

Can we legally get married at Minstrel Court?+

Yes — we're licensed for civil ceremonies in the Lake Pavilion, on the Lakeside and Marquee Lawns, in the Starlit Hall and the Tudor Barn. Marry by the water, under open sky, or beneath five-hundred-year-old beams.

How many guests can we bring?+

Up to 200 in the Garden Marquee, or up to 110 in the Tudor Barn — with evening guests welcome on top for the party.

How does payment work?+

£1,500 secures your date. The balance is then spread in stages — at six months, three months, and the final balance one month before your wedding.

Are weekday weddings cheaper?+

Meaningfully — Sunday to Thursday dates are roughly 30% less than a Saturday, for exactly the same estate.

Can we bring our dog?+

Yes! Dogs are welcome at Minstrel Court — plenty of couples have a four-legged ring bearer.

Confetti and fireworks?+

Biodegradable or petal confetti, please — and yes, fireworks are allowed. Imagine them over the lake.

What time does the music end?+

Midnight.

Can we bring our own drinks?+

There's currently no corkage charge — ask us about the details when you visit.

Can we use our own caterer?+

Yes — formal in-house style, your own external caterer, or relaxed food trucks on the lawn. The commercial kitchen and Food Shack are there to support whichever you choose.

How far ahead can we book?+

2026, 2027 and 2028 dates are all bookable now.
